Philosophy/Mission Statement

It is the philosophy of I.C.U. Exceed that most individuals thrive in an environment where they can experience meaningful interaction with a circle of people they care about and with their community in general. This involves responsible and caring support persons to serve as role models and resources to assist individuals in achieving their desired community interaction.

I.C.U. Exceed is centered on sound core values and goals. It is our mission to assist individuals and their families in the individual’s pursuit of life enhancing experiences including personal achievement, ownership of community responsibility, community participation, and individual contributions to the community as a whole.

Our agency is built on the following core values and has committed to the following goals

SERVICES

CASE MANAGEMENT

Assessment of the  Individuals abilities and functional levels to establish a program to meet the individual’s needs and desires. All care providers monitoring the service plan to determine if it is addressing the consumer’s needs and desires, and making adjustments when necessary.

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Managing assets, budgeting, and ensuring compliance.

CONSULTING SERVICES

Training and development, housing assistance.

ADVOCACY

Staff interaction with professionals, including medical, to ensure the protection of consumers' rights; Education in life skills to help the consumer understand and negotiate daily living situations; and advocating on behalf of the consumer with family members and other individuals.

TRANSPORTATION

To habilitative, medical, recreational, and other necessary activities.

RECREATION

Access to recreational facilities and community recreational activities based on the consumer's desires.

  • To comply with the rules and regulations set forth in the Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code pertaining to the provision of care for individuals with disabilities.

  • To involve individuals and families in all aspects of their experience with I.C.U. Exceed.
