I.C.U CLASSES

  •  CPR & First Aid - Cost $79

o   In this course you'll learn how to properly perform CPR on Infants, Children and Adults as well as how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). You'll also learn First-Aid to care for wounds, cuts & scrapes as well as, strokes, heart attacks and more. BLS courses for healthcare providers are also available.

  • Medication Administration I (14hrs)-Cost $149

o     A 14-hour course that teaches the non-licensed direct caregiver the basics in administering oral and topical medications, as well as performing health-related activities.

  •  Medication Administration II (4hrs)-Cost $99

o   The purpose of this four (4) hour course is to provide participants with the educational basis to receive information for feeding and medication administration per stable labeled Gastrostomy / Jejunostomy (G / J) tubes.  This will include understanding the equipment and procedure for feeding and medication administration per (G / J) tube, the placement of G / J tubes, site care and maintenance of these tubes and requirements for nursing delegation and documentation.

  •  Medication Administration III (4hrs)-Cost $99

o   The purpose of this four (4) hour course is to train participants to understand the types of diabetes mellitus (DM), identify potential signs and symptoms of DM, understand the treatment of DM, understand and demonstrate correct use of a glucometer, demonstrate ability to administer subcutaneous insulin injection.  This course will also touch on the importance of the care of individuals with diabetes such as diet and exercise, foot care, complications of uncontrolled DM, and documentation, etc.  

  • 8 Hour DDS - Cost $99

o   Required 8 hour training for new staff or providers covering topics set by the state Board of DODD.

  •  MUI & UI Recertification (3hrs) - Cost $59

o   All DD employees are mandated reporters and must report major unusual incidents (MUIs) and Unusual Incidents (UIs) and take the required actions in accordance with OAC 5123:2-17-02. Class renews certification.

  • Documentation Training (3hrs)

o   Class teaches proper documentation as required by state and county.

  • Medication Remediation

o   A class for individuals who have made some medications errors and require  some additional guidance

  • Child Growth & Development

o   This course provides an overview of the theory and principles of human growth and development from conception through adolescence.

  • Med. I, II, & III Recertification-Cost $49

o   Recertification on one of the above mentioned medication classes
